The world got its first look at the Miranda Factory E-Team the weekend of April 12-14 at the start of the World E-Bike Series in Monaco. Miranda’s Emanuel Pombo claimed 11th place in a field of 43 representing 19 teams. Nicolas Quere of Broap Racing By Giant was the fastest and succeeded in winning the first-ever round of the world electric bike championship series. The Frenchman finished the race in 24’57.63. 1’31.33 later Emanuel Pombo crossed the finish in 11th place. The Portuguese racer’s debut met the team’s expectations in this tough race that was marked by several withdrawals.
The Miranda Factory E-Team, created by Miranda Bike Parts, based in Águeda, is the first Portuguese team registered in the World E-Bike Series. The competition is part of the International Cycling Union’s (UCI) 2019 international calendar. The next round will take place on May 17 - 19 in Willingen, Germany. Miranda Bike Parts is a leading company in the international market for bicycle drivetrain components. The brand has also dedicated itself to the development of high-end bicycle parts, predominantly E-Bikes (electric bicycles).
